11 Simple Ways To Make Your PC Run Smoothly

Computers have the tendency of slowing down with age. But, you can keep your machine running for a long time, if you follow some basic commandments. Here are 11 simple ways, that allow you to run your PC smoothly:

1. Run cleanup programs regularly

If you aren’t aware of any good cleanup program, we’ll recommend you one. CCleaner is an useful app which help you find and delete caches and other temporary files which creates backlog in your system.

cleanup programs, Remove useless animations, Antivirus, Upgrade RAM, Control App launches, resource hogging processes, fresh Windows, internet cache, computer index

2. Remove useless animations and special effects

Some of the features or animations takes up a lot of memory and removing those can speed up your machine. If you use Windows 7, disable resource hungry “Aero” theme. Simply Right click on your desktop and choose “Personalize” after which choose “Window Color” Tab and uncheck “Enable Transparency”.

3. Update your Antivirus regularly

Viruses and malware can seriously reduce your speed drastically, so it is highly advisable to eliminate it at the very source. If you use some free antivirus, there are chances that it can be a virus itself! Instead, you can opt for Microsoft’s Security Essentials antivirus software. You can schedule daily and weekly scans for your system.

4. Upgrade RAM for multitasking

If you multitask or if you are into heavy gameplay and picture editing, increasing RAM can be a good option. It is economical and easy upgrade which can give new life to your system. Use “Memory finder” tool from Newegg to figure out your system needs. If you are tech freak, you can do it yourself or else hire a technician!

5. Invest in SDD

Solid state drive or SDD increases your load timing. HDD which is the traditional hard drive is being replaced by faster SDD, which is solely based on flash memory and have no moving parts unlike HDD. SSD are getting cheaper now and they result in faster startups and uploads.

6. Control App launches in you system

If you feel that your system is taking too long to boot, you can limit the number of programs and apps during the startup. To go through such list, click Start and search for “msconfig”. Next, click on startup tab and you will notice that list. You can uncheck the extra apps from the list and you are sorted!

7. Search for resource hogging processes

A computer runs multiple processes at a time but you should know about these processes. On Windows, click on Taskbar and choose Task manager and notice any unwanted process running or hogging up your RAM and also Google your doubts. If you find something fishy, toss it out.

8. Install fresh Windows after Virus infestation

Antivirus do their job well but it is tech advice that one should perform fresh installation of Windows after you recovered your machine from malware or virus attack. You should have your data backup as it will erase everything completely. Simply plugin the USB or CD after shutdown and follow on screen instructions.

9. Clear your internet cache

If you struggle while surfing, it might be browser’s fault and not that of your system. Every browser comes with different set of instructions, but in general, navigate to Settings tab and look for history and cache.

10. Refresh computer index

Re-indexing your computer can greatly speed up your system. The process is long but worth opting for. On Windows, use “Disk Defragmenter” app and schedule weekly de-fragmentation.

11. Restart your machine regularly

If you leave your machine on or on standby mode for longer duration, programs take more memory than usual. Turn your system off when idle or when not in use, so that it can get rid of heavy resources and it also installs updates which are launched regularly.

9 Biggest Security Breaches Of 2014

Cyber criminals enjoyed a lot throughout 2014 and they were almost everytime in the headlines. The hacker groups have been able to grab worldwide attention by hacking into Apple’s iCloud and the latest Sony hack. Hackers have kept the cyber security professionals on their toes throughout the year. Here are the nine most prominent security breaches of 2014 which not only made the headlines but has shown the weakest side of this so-called advanced digital era.
1. Sony attack leads to massive data loss:
It was a black day for Sony when their systems were thrown into deep shit during late November after an unknown hacker group hijacked their computers. Some media outlets accused North Korea for the crime, but the country refused any kind of involvement. FBI has concluded their investigation and they have found North Korea as responsible for the entire incident. Since then several stories about the company’s executives and Hollywood personalities have surfaced, and some critical remarks have also come into notice about U.S. President Barack Obama.
2. Target breach:
When Target was breached in early 2014, more than 40 million credit card details and more than 70 million customers’ personal data were severely compromised. It’s believed that the U.S. retail giant has upgraded their security systems after the attack. It was reported that the security team of Target has ignored several system generated warnings on the attack and the company spent around $80 million in response to the attack.
3. Dropbox hack:
An anonymous Pastebin user claimed that around seven million Dropbox account credentials have been compromised, and then the first 400 were posted directly to Pastebin with a demand for Bitcoin donations to leak more. Then some follow-up pastes also occurred, which didn’t sound as genuine ones. A blog post update on the Dropbox attack said, “A subsequent list of usernames and passwords has been posted online. We’ve checked and these are not associated with Dropbox accounts.” Dropbox kept on saying that no breach has taken place and blamed some unrelated third party services for the compromise of the accounts. Dropbox maintained that their security has not been breached.
4. Apple iCloud breach:
It gained most attention as the leaked content was quite sensitive. Hundreds of nude images of Hollywood celebrities including Jennifer Lawrence and Kate Upton were obtained from Apple’s iCloud service and then they were leaked at an event called The Fappening. Reddit became a primary source of the distribution and thereafter it was banned by the admins. Images were shared on Twitter too. Apple also maintained that they have not been hacked, but they couldn’t deny the fact that the images were obtained from iCloud only.
5. JP MORGAN CHASE & CO. Hacking:
The company spent $250 million on cyber security in 2014 but still they couldn’t prevent hackers from gaining access to their network extensively. Details of 76 million US households and 7 million SMBs were compromised and the stolen data included names, addresses, phone numbers and email addresses. It was believed that Russian hackers are behind this crime and also hinted at a possible state coordinated attack.
6. Chinese hacked U.S. weather systems:
Earlier this year Chinese hackers broke into four websites which belong to the U.S. federal agency that monitors weather systems. The U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration provides weather information and satellite feeds to the websites. These services were shut down for more than a week after the hack.
7. eBay hit by 145 million user data breach:
More than 145 million users were affected when a massive hack took place in eBay’s systems including their email and postal addresses as well as log-in credentials. Financial data was not stolen though.
8. Home Depot breach:
The company suffered in September when 109 million records were leaked including 56 million credit card details and 53 million email addresses. Home Depot accused a third-party vendor for the breach and hackers spread themselves through networks to steal credit card data at point-of-sale terminals.
9. Webcam hack:
A Russian website called Insecam streamed live videos from thousands of webcams. In the U.K., around 584 webcams were in display including videos from offices, factories, homes and also a pub. The firm claimed it didn’t hack security cameras, instead they got access as they were not password protected or using default passwords.

How to Hack an Email Password: Email Hacking Secrets

On a regular basis, a lot of people contact me about suspecting their partner of cheating and ask me how to hack their email password, so as to find out the truth.
If you are in a similar situation or simply want to hack into someone’s email account, this article can surely help you out. Here in this article I will try to uncover some of the real and working methods to hack the password of any email account!

Possible Ways to Hack an Email Account:

While there exists many nasty websites on the Internet that mislead people with fake methods and false promises to obtain passwords, some often present readers with obsolete methods that can no longer be used. However, on this website you will find all the information clear, simple and easy to implement. With my experience of over 10 years in the field of ethical hacking and information security, I can tell you that the following are the only 2 foolproof methods to hack emails:

1. Keylogging: The Easiest Way!

Keylogging simply refers to the process of recording each and every keystroke that a user types on a specific computer’s keyboard. This can be done using a small software program called keylogger (also referred to as spy program).
  1. How does a Keylogger Work?
A Keylogger is small software program that can easily be installed by any novice computer user. Once installed, it records all the keystrokes typed on the computer including passwords. It does not require any special knowledge or skill to use keyloggers.
  2. Can a Keylogger be Detected?
No! Once installed, it operates in a complete stealth mode and hence remains undetected to the computer user.
  3. What if I do not have Physical Access to the Target Computer?
Not to Worry! Some of the best keyloggers on the market support “remote installation” that makes it possible to install it even if the target computer is hundreds of miles away.
  4. How can a Keylogger Help Me in Hacking Email Password?
Once installed, the keylogger simply records all the keystrokes typed (including passwords) and uploads the logs to a secret server. You can access these logs anytime by logging into your online account that comes with the keylogger program.
  5. Which Keylogger is the Best?
After spending a lot of time and money on testing different software programs, I conclude the following keylogger as the best one you can go for:
Easily Access Email Password
Realtime-Spy Top Features:
  • REMOTE AND LOCAL INSTALLATION
You can install it on a remote computer as well as a local computer.
  • EXTREMELY EASY TO INSTALL
Realtime-Spy is a tiny program that can be installed with just a click on a button.
  • NEVER GET CAUGHT!
Since Realtime-Spy runs in a 100% stealth mode, you need not worry about being caught or traced back.
  • WORKS ON WINDOWS AND MAC
Fully compatible with Windows XP/Vista/7/8 (32 and 64-bit) and Mac.
You get a detailed step-by-step instruction and technical support after you purchase the software. So, what are you waiting for? Go grab Realtime-Spy now and expose the truth!

What if the Target Person Uses a CELL PHONE to Access Emails?
In case of a mobile device such as cell phone or tablet, you can use the mobile version of the above product called “mSpy”. You can order it from the link below:
Download mSpy – for Mobile Devices
Compatibility: Android, Windows Mobile, BlackBerry, iPhone and iPads.

2. Other Ways to Hack Email Password

Phishing: The Difficult Way

Phishing is the other most commonly used technique to hack email passwords. This method involves the use of Fake Login Pages (spoofed webpages) whose look and feel are almost identical to that of legitimate websites.
Fake login pages are created by many hackers which appear exactly as Gmail or Yahoo login pages. But, once you enter your login details on such a fake login page, they are actually stolen away by the hacker.
However, carrying out a phishing attack demands an in-depth expertise in the field of hacking. It requires years of experience with a knowledge of HTML, CSS and scripting languages like PHP/JSP.
Also, phishing is considered  as a serious crime and hence a risky job to attempt. In this post, I would limit the information on phishing which otherwise could lead to the misuse of information by attackers to cause potential harm. If you are a novice computer user, I recommend the usage of keyloggers as the easiest and best possible way to gain access to any email password.

Common Myths and Scams Associated with Email Hacking:

Well, before I conclude I would like to give all my readers a word of caution!
Today, there are many scam websites out there on the Internet which often misguide users with false information. Some of them may even rip off your pockets with false promises. So, here are some of the things that you need to be aware of:
  1. There is no ready-made software program (except the keylogger) that can hack emails and get you the password instantly just with a click of a button. So, if you come across any website that claims to sell such programs, I would advise you to stay away from them.
  2. Never trust any hacking service that claims to hack any email for just $100 or $200. All I can tell you is that, most of them are no more than a scam.
  3. I have seen many websites on the Internet that are distributing fake tutorials on email hacking. Most of these tutorials will tell you something like this: “you need to send an email to passwordrecovery@gmail.com along with your username and password” (or something similar).
Beware! Never give away your password to anyone nor send it to any email address. If you do so, you will lose your own password in attempt to hack someone else’s password. :(
I hope you found this post interesting and informative. I would request the readers not to misuse any of the information presented in this article.

Hack: a new programming language for HHVM

n a hurry? Try Hack now: http://hacklang.org/
Today we're releasing Hack, a programming language we developed for HHVM that interoperates seamlessly with PHP. Hack reconciles the fast development cycle of PHP with the discipline provided by static typing, while adding many features commonly found in other modern programming languages.
We have deployed Hack at Facebook and it has been a great success. Over the last year, we have migrated nearly our entire PHP codebase to Hack, thanks to both organic adoption and a number of homegrown refactoring tools.
We're also proud to release an open source version of Hack to the public at http://hacklang.org/ as part of our HHVM runtime platform, which will now support both Hack and PHP.

Motivation

Every PHP programmer is familiar with day-to-day tasks that can be tricky or cumbersome. The code above is a great example of a common mistake where a method could unexpectedly be called on a null object, causing an error that wouldn't be caught until runtime. Another example is a complex API, where developers may have a solid understanding of its semantics but still spend time looking up mundane method names in documentation.
At Facebook scale — with thousands of engineers shipping new code twice a day — slowdowns like these are even more problematic. Before Hack, we had a simple language with a quick feedback loop — but how could we mitigate the sorts of problems described above? Could early error detection coexist with rapid iteration, all while preserving our investment in PHP? Could improved code analysis and introspection help make developers more productive with tools like auto-complete?
Traditionally, dynamically typed languages allow for rapid development but sacrifice the ability to catch errors early and introspect code quickly, particularly on larger codebases. Conversely, statically typed languages provide more of a safety net, but often at the cost of quick iteration. We believed there had to be a sweet spot.
Thus, Hack was born. We believe that it offers the best of both dynamically typed and statically typed languages, and that it will be valuable to projects of all sizes.

The Hack language

Hack has deep roots in PHP. In fact, most PHP files are already valid Hack files. We made a conscious choice not to support a handful of deprecated functions and features that were incompatible with static typing (e.g. “variable variables” and the extract() function). We have also added many new features that we believe will help make developers more productive.
Our principal addition is static typing. We have developed a system to annotate function signatures and class members with type information; our type checking algorithm (the “type checker”) infers the rest. Type checking is incremental, such that even within a single file some code can be converted to Hack while the rest remains dynamically typed. Technically speaking, Hack is a “gradually typed*”* language: dynamically typed code interoperates seamlessly with statically typed code.
Within Hack's type system, we have introduced several features such as generics, nullable types, type aliasing, and constraints on type parameters. These new language features are unobtrusive, so the code you write with Hack will still look and feel like the dynamic language to which PHP programmers are accustomed.
However, Hack adds additional features beyond static type checking, including Collections, lambda expressions, and run-time enforcement of return types and parameter types.
Collections provide a clean, type-safe alternative to PHP arrays. We designed them specifically to work well with static typing and generics. The Collections API offers many classic higher-order functions such as map() and filter() to facilitate functional programming styles.
Lambda expressions give a concise syntax for creating closures. While PHP has closures, it requires the programmer to explicitly name the variables they need to use from enclosing scopes. With Hack's lambda expressions, we automatically infer these uses, saving you needless work. Lambda expressions make it more convenient to take full advantage of the Collections API.
Run-time enforcement of return types and parameter types (including scalar types like int and string) provides safety beyond what can be checked statically while type annotations are being gradually added to a codebase. Run-time enforcement helps programmers detect and diagnose certain kinds of problems more easily, and it helps HHVM's JIT produce more efficient code by making it safe to trust type annotations for optimization purposes.

Instantaneous type checking

During development, a PHP programmer typically goes back and forth rapidly between the source code and the browser. Engineers can iterate as quickly as they need, testing and tuning an experience until it's perfect.
Traditionally, a type checker would disrupt this feedback loop as it takes time to analyze the source code. We didn't want to slow the PHP workflow, so we came up with a new approach to reconcile instantaneous feedback with type safety.
Our solution was to architect the type checker as a local server that watches the filesystem. The server keeps all information about the source code in memory and automatically updates itself when a file changes on disk. This approach has paid off: the type checker typically runs in less than 200 milliseconds and rarely takes more than a second, making it easy to integrate into the development workflow without introducing a noticeable delay.

Code migration

Hack's type safety and refactoring benefits grow the more it is used within a codebase. Understanding that it would be difficult for some code to be completely transitioned to Hack right away, it was important to us that Hack be developed such that it can coexist directly with other PHP files as it is being introduced incrementally.
The rest of the conversion process, such as adding type annotations and using new language features, can be done as appropriate for the codebase. For example, a type annotation can be added for one function but left off another function, even in the same file. If a function parameter or class member does not have an explicit type annotation, the type checker considers its type to be dynamic, and it does not check the type of that value.
Within Facebook, we found that our engineers appreciated Hack enough that they started converting the majority of their own code voluntarily. With millions of lines of code in our tree, we also wanted some form of automation, so we built and use a number of code modification tools to assist the process (which we are releasing as part of Hack).

Don't worry, your PHP is safe!

HHVM is still a PHP runtime, and we intend to keep it that way. In fact, we are working hard to reach parity with PHP-5. One of HHVM's top priorities is to run unmodified PHP-5 source code, both for the community and because we rely on third-party PHP libraries internally.
HHVM is now a runtime that supports *both* PHP and Hack, so you can start to take advantage of Hack's new features incrementally.

Have fun with Hack!

We are delighted to open-source both Hack and the tools you can use to automatically convert your codebase. This is just the first step, and we are dedicated to continuing to evolve this software to make development even easier for both our own engineers and the broader community. Hack's value is *not* limited to big projects: with type information, good error messages, and fast feedback, small codebases can reap the benefits of Hack as well.
Next month, we will also introduce the language at the Hack Developer Day on the Facebook campus in Menlo Park, and we hope to see you there in person or online.
We would love to have your feedback on our work so far, and welcome you all to participate in the HHVM and Hack community.
